We regret to announce that the 2011 Northern Virginia Home Education Conference will not be held. We have been unable to secure a suitable new location to produce an event that meets the needs of the Metropolitan Washington Homeschool Community. The building we have been fortunate to use over the past several years will revert to its original use (full-time retail occupancy). We have investigated other facilities in the immediate area and have been unable to secure sufficient space and meeting rooms to accommodate the current event.
We do not know if this will be a temporary circumstance that will be resolved before the 2012 event or if this is a matter of doors being closed and others opened. We have enjoyed this opportunity to support the Regional homeschool community and thank each and every one of your for your support and prayers over the past eight years. Please remember us as we seek a new home for this event or a new mission for our gifts and talents.
We will post any information about a 2012 event on this page and our Facebook page. In the interim, events hosted by Home Educators Association of Virginia (Richmond, VA), Maryland Association of Christian Home Educators (Frederick, MD) and the Organization of Virginia Homeschoolers (Glen Allen, VA) will provide wonderful resources for your family's homeschool needs.
