Lots of FREE parking is available in the parking lot in front of the North Hall.


I Have Decided To Attend the Conference At The Last Minute! Can I Still Register?

We do encourage you to register before July 6, 2008 to save time when you arrive at the Conference. However, Registration will be available at the door and will be $5 additional in each registration category. We do ask that you do not mail conference registrations after July 1, 2008 to ensure that we receive your registration before the Conference. All registrations postmarked after July 1, 2008 will not be processed and will be returned. However, you may register online until midnight on Sunday, July 6, 2008. What Payment Methods Do You Accept?

We will accept cash, checks, and most major credit cards including MasterCard, Visa, Discover and American Express.  Registration will also be available at the door on the days of the conference - we will accept cash, checks and credit cards at the door.


I am a Nursing Mother! Are There Any Accomodations For This?

Yes, we will have a room set aside for you and your little one. This room is available to all mothers who need to step aside to feed or change their infant. Please check at the Registration Desk for the location of this room. A live video feed from our main Workshop Room be will be available in the Mommy & Me Room.

Lunch can be purchased onsite at the Dulles Expo Center Cafe. The full-service food court will offer breakfast, lunch and snacks throughout the day. Hours for the food court are:

 Friday, July 11

 10 AM - 6PM

 Saturday, July 12

 7 AM - 6 PM



How Do I Get To The Conference?

The Dulles Expo Center is located in the heart of Northern Virginia’s high-tech corridor on Route 28, between I-66 and the Dulles Toll Road in Fairfax County, VA. Dulles Expo Center is six miles south of Dulles International Airport and just 26 miles from Washington, DC. Click Directions for complete directions and a map.

I Have Used Books. Can I Sell Them At The Conference?

We have a special area designated just for you to sell your used books! The Used Book Sale will be open only on Saturday, July 12 from 9 AM to 4 PM. There will be a Volunteer-Only shopping session from 9 AM until 10 AM. All other attendess may shop from 10 AM - 4 PM. Additionally, you will qualify for a special registration rate of $15 -- good for both days of the conference. For more information on the Used Book Sale, please contact


I Need A Place To Stay! Are There Any Hotel Accommodations?

We have selected the Holiday Inn Select at Dulles Expo as the official hotel for this event. The hotel is located on the site of the Dulles Expo Center. Additionally, we have added the Hampton Inn - Dulles Airport South as our overflow hotel.  Please click on Hotel for more information on rates and deadlines for both hotels.. 


What About My Children? May I Bring Them To The Conference?

Children are welcome at the conference. However, we do not offer childcare. We do have demostrations that they and the whole family may be interested in. If you bring children, we ask that you be aware of their presence at all times. Vendors will be happy to demonstrate their products to your children. However, our vendors will appreciate it when Mom or Dad are nearby. Children twelve and over will receive name tags at registration. Children under twelve will receive a sticker. Please Note: We do allow strollers in our conference and Exhibit Hall at this time. Rollerskates, rollerblades and wheelies are not allowed in the conference or building.

What About The Workshop Recordings?

We will not be offering audio tapes of individual workshops. However, we will be offering the whole conference on a CD-ROM. The CD-ROM will include all the workshops, the handouts given in those workshops and a PDF of the conference Program & Resource Guide. Note:  Register before May 1, 2008 and receive the Conference CD-ROM FREE with your registration.

Attendees can order the CD-ROM at the conference for a special price of $30 for those two days only. If you cannot attend, you can order online the entire conference on CD-ROM for $40 and become a "Virtual Attendee". If you cannot attend and would like to purchase a CD-ROM you may do that on our website by clicking here.

Audio files are MP3 format and written materials are in Microsoft Word and Adobe PDF format. Compatible with most operating systems with appropriate software.

May I Bring My Own Audio Or Video Recording Device?

Audio and/or video recording devices are not permitted in the workshop areas. We do offer a Conference CD-ROM for those who are interested.

Do You Need Volunteers?

Yes!  We love people with a volunteer spirit and have many opportunities for you to help out at the conference.  We will reward your volunteer spirit with a special shopping time at the Used Book Sale on Saturday and and special registration discounts. Additionally, if you send us your Volunteer Registration Form on or before May 1, 2008 you will receive a free conference CD-ROM. Please contact Dee Scott at to get your name placed on the volunteer list.


Why Do You Need My Email Address?


We use your email address to send you a confirmation of your registration or contact you if we have any questions about your registration. Additionally, you will receive one or two emails during the year to give you information about conference dates, speakers and other information. Please consider adding our email addresses to your address book so that your conference email will not bounce back to us. If your email address has changed in the past year, be sure to email us with your new address so that you do not miss important information. Additionally, this conference does not share, sell, or disclose any of your contact information to third parties in any form or for any reason.
